Lauren Alise Schultz is a Fundraising and Communications Consultant, Grant Writer, Editor, Researcher, and Artist.

Having worked full-time in a nonprofit Development Department for five years and as a freelance nonprofit consultant for nine years, I've become a "Jack of All Trades" of nonprofit development. I provide a wide variety of services for nonprofits and small businesses, and my clients appreciate that I can be a one-stop shop for all their fundraising and communications needs. At the age of six, I wrote my first book about my favorite flavors of ice cream. Since that time, I planned on becoming some sort of writer. As an adult, I became passionate about having an impact in areas such as child welfare, community leadership, literacy, the arts, and social services, so I was thrilled to realize that I could use my writing superpowers to help nonprofits support and expand their programs. With each grant that I successfully secure, I help change the world - one nutrition program, school library, or foster care mentoring program at a time.

​I have been involved with fundraising and nonprofit work since 2003 and began working as a professional Grant Writer in 2011. In the last 13 years, I have secured $32.6 million in government contracts and $1.3 million in private funding for various nonprofits through the formal grant application process, as well as an additional $2.2 million through formal fundraising events and $837,000 through fundraising campaigns.

My previous and current clients include organizations in the New York City metro area; Washington DC; Baltimore, Maryland; Alexandria, Virginia; Boston, Massachusetts; Orlando, Florida; Des Moines, Iowa; the metro Detroit area of Michigan; and the southwest region of Michigan. I have recently moved to Austin, Texas and I would love to connect with nonprofits around the Lone Star State.
