Youth Art For Healing

Youth Art For Healing (YAFH) is a nonprofit with the mission to bring works of art created by youth into healthcare environments to provide a sense of comfort, inspiration, and healing for patients and their loved ones, and healthcare professionals. I have supported YAFH over the past several years in a number of capacities, so my work for the organization illustrates the breadth of my services that can benefit a nonprofit or small business.

A few satisfied nonprofits...

I really appreciate the support Lauren provided to our Parent Child Home Program for many years. She interviewed several moms for [proposals and] articles to promote the program and she was always very sensitive. She got them to open up and tell their stories, which helped communicate what we were doing to our donors.

I have worked with Lauren on many projects and her grant writing has been instrumental in raising money for our nonprofit. I appreciate her collaborative approach, which allowed the greatest opportunity to tell the stories of our organization. I would highly recommend Lauren to anybody who needs effective grant writing to raise funds.

A little bit about me...

At the age of six, I wrote my first book about my favorite flavors of ice cream. Since that time, I planned on becoming some sort of writer. As an adult, I became passionate about having an impact in areas such as child welfare, community leadership, literacy, the arts, and social services, so I was thrilled to realize that I could use my writing superpowers to help nonprofits support and expand their programs. With each grant that I successfully secure, I help change the world - one nutrition program, school library, or foster care mentoring program at a time.

I have been involved with fundraising and nonprofit work since 2003 and began working as a professional Grant Writer in 2011. In the last 13 years, I have secured $32.6 million in government contracts and $1.3 million in private funding for various nonprofits through the formal grant application process, as well as an additional $2.2 million through formal fundraising events and $837,000 through fundraising campaigns.

Featured Photography

Why feature my personal photography on my business website? Because my photographic artwork illustrates my photo editing skills.

I will put the same photo editing skills to work for your nonprofit or small business as I design your brochures, campaign mailers, newsletters, event materials, annual reports, website content, and more. And I will bring both an eye for beauty and an artistic flair to every design project to help your organization stand out.

Interested in working together?

My previous and current clients include organizations in the New York City metro area; Washington DC; Baltimore, Maryland; Alexandria, Virginia; Boston, Massachusetts; Orlando, Florida; Des Moines, Iowa; the metro Detroit area of Michigan; and the southwest region of Michigan. I have recently moved to Austin, Texas and I would love to connect with nonprofits around the Lone Star State.
If you are a nonprofit leader and interested in learning more about my services, please use this contact form to get in touch. I would love to set up a meeting and get to know you and your organization.
